This beautiful antique Royal Bonn vase is decorated with a hand painted design of vibrant colors of pink and purple flowers on a tan background. The flowers are framed with raised gold enamel and accented with light green leaves. The upper and lower rims are deeply scalloped and trimmed in gold. It has two wonderful gold lion head handles and gold leaf form feet.
Royal Bonn is the 19 th
and 20 th
century trade name used by Franz Anton Mehlem, who had a pottery in Bonn, Germany, from 1836 to 1931 where porcelain and earthenware were made. The factory was purchased by Villeroy & Boch in 1921 and closed in 1931.
The vase is marked and numbered. A great addition to any collection!
Condition:
In very good condition – slight chip on one lion’s head and one on upper rim.
